Who We Are

The Maine Boules Club is an FPUSA-affiliated petanque club located in Blue Hill, Maine. We began playing in 1984 and have been affiliated with the FPUSA since 1997. Any and all are welcome to come play with us casually or take part in our tournaments.

Summer Play

Between May and October the club plays multiple times a week, weather permitting, at Webbers Cove Boatyard in Blue Hill (not to be confused with the one in East Blue Hill) adjacent to the Boatyard Grill (which is currently closed, though we have access to their bathroom). If you are in the area and want to play, feel free to just show up, or contact us to confirm that play will happen on the day(s) you plan to join.

Directions

• From Blue Hill village center, proceed east on Main Street.
• After you pass the Fish Net, turn right on to East Blue Hill Road.
• You will immediately pass the cemetery on your right. The entrance to the boatyard is directly after the cemetery, also on the right.
• Proceed down the boatyard drive until you see the water.
• The courts will be to your right at the end of the drive, near the water. It is common for the courts to be obscured by dry-docked boats and floats both early and late in the season.

2024 Tournaments

Maine Boules Club holds a number of tournaments throughout the summer. Anyone is welcome to take part in tournaments whether a member or not. All tournaments adhere to FPUSA rules and regulations and take place at the boatyard unless otherwise indicated. If you are interested in playing in a tournament, contact us for more information and to register.
